Message from the Deputy Bureau Head

Implementation, Service Delivery and Community Responsibility

Effective environmental protection and rural land administration are realized through strong implementation at regional, zonal, and woreda levels. The Bureau places emphasis on transforming policies, strategies, and legal frameworks into practical actions that directly benefit communities and protect natural resources.

Through the coordinated work of the Environmental Protection, Biodiversity, and Rural Land Administration directorates, the Bureau continues to strengthen compliance with environmental regulations, improve land governance, and enhance public awareness. Community participation, service delivery, and institutional capacity-building are essential to preventing environmental degradation and land-related conflicts.

Communities, local administrations, and development actors are encouraged to respect environmental safeguards and land-use regulations, not as limitations, but as foundations for social stability, sustainable livelihoods, and long-term resilience.
