On September 9, 2025, the fourth day of Pagumen, recognized as the Day of Recovery, was officially commemorated at the Shabelle Center.

The event forms part of the five-day Pagumen celebrations, which are nationally and regionally observed to reflect on the country’s overall developmental progress. This particular day was dedicated to highlighting Ethiopia’s recovery efforts, including achievements in development projects, national progress, and unity.

The commemoration was attended by senior government officials, led by the Head of Political Affairs and Capacity Building of the Somali Regional Party, accompanied by regional officials, members of parliament, intellectuals, artists, cultural figures, and other invited guests.

The event concluded with a tree-planting activity at the Shabelle tourism site, organized in honor of the Day of Recovery, symbolizing renewal, sustainability, and continued development.
